Lindsey Goodchild has always been passionate about enabling a more sustainable society. A graduate from Ryerson University’s post-graduate Certificate in Sustainability Management program, she realized that there was a huge disconnect in translating theories and putting them into practice.

Lindsey saw an opportunity to fill this gap with a mobile application that provides real-world sustainability guidance for everyday users.

Lindsey then courted Dessy Daskalov—with beer and poutine—to convince her to become her business partner. For Lindsey, finding a partner who shared the same level of passion and ambition as she did was a huge step forward.

To get their mobile app off the ground, the two entrepreneurs nervously enrolled in the JOLT accelerator program at MaRS. The rest, as they say, is history.

Watch their story below.

The Off the Cuff video series features informal, two-minute interviews with entrepreneurs across MaRS’ key sectors.
