Seed accelerators have exploded onto the startup scene in Canada, with well over 20 accelerator and accelerator-like programs now in place. For the past five months, MaRS Data Catalyst has been taking a closer look at Canadian accelerators and their impact. Working with lead researcher Elizabeth Caley, we collected data on 34 programs and conducted interviews with the managers of 11 of the leading Canadian programs.

On June 20 we’ll be releasing a report with the findings from our research here on the Data Catalyst website. On the same day we’ll also be hosting a panel discussion featuring both accelerator graduates and accelerator managers at the MaRS Centre. You can register online here.

While we’re excited to share our research in a traditional report format, MaRS Data Catalyst also believes that data visualization can create insight, so we’ve created an infographic that highlights some of our findings. We hope you enjoy!
